After gold and silver medals in World Championships, Carlos Yulo aims to be 'the best version' of himself
Carlos Yulo is not yet done.
After getting a gold medal in the vault finals and a silver medal in the parallel bars finals of the 50th FIG Artistic Gymnastics Championships on Sunday, the 21-year old gymnast said he still wants to improve.
"I don't want to go easy. I want to move forward and be the best version of myself," Yulo said in an interview with the Olympic Channel on Sunday.
Yulo shared that he was also happy in winning the competition and his overall performance.

"When I knew that I won the gold medal in vault, I was really happy at the moment," he recalled. "But at the same time, I'm kind of focusing on the pbars (parallel bars) routine and I think it did go well."
"I was really happy about my performance but in pbars I was a little bit scared while doing it."
Yulo said finishing second in the parallel bars was also a good thing for him.
"I'm not nervous but I managed to finish second and I'm very happy that I made it to the second place," the Filipino Olympian said. "I really tried a lot to qualify for the finals, especially in pbars. I'm really glad right now."
Yulo topped the vault finals with an average score of 14.916 and a total of 15.300 for the parallel bars.
He was not able to defend his floor exercise title after finishing fifth in the finals.
Yulo's victory in the World Championships is widely considered as his comeback after a failed bid for a medal in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
