Blacklist concludes MPL PH S8 with sweep of dethroned world champs Bren

Blacklist International duplicated their Season 7 season record after concluding the regular season with a 2-0 sweep of Bren Esports in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 on Sunday.

The Tier One-backed squad compiled a similar 13-1 win-loss card to finish with 34 points and the top spot in the playoffs.

Missing the services of Kiel “OHEB” Soriano who was suspended due to a controversial pose after yesterday's showdown against Omega Esports, Blacklist quickly jumped the gun on Bren, who were parading their second team, with Salic “Hadji” Imam (Ling) seamlessly scoring a 5-0-1 KDA by the 3rd minute.

It wasn't much of a fight from there with the defending champs taking a 12-minute conquest on a 19-4 kill rampage, 1-0.

Hadji finished with a monster 8-1-8 KDA.

Bren then opted for an unconventional draft, not banning any hero and taking Zilong and Johnson.

Although they made it interesting in the early game with pickoffs from Efphraim “Ejhay” Sambrano's (Johnson) rapid touchdown, Hadji (Lancelot) refused to let up as he went on a killing spree on the way to finishing with a monstrous 11-0-10 KDA.

Mark Jayson “ESON” Gerardo (Mathilda), who was taking the spot of suspended OHEB, compiled a solid 2-1-22 KDA.

Bren concludes Season 8 with 14 points with a 5-9 win-loss card and will not be able to defend their world title in M3.
