Edrian Paul Celestino skates to 16th place after short program in Nebelhorn Trophy
Edrian Paul Celestino finished at 16th place after the men's figure skating short program in the 2021 Nebelhorn Trophy on Thursday in Oberstdorf, Germany.
Celestino scored 64.32 points, with 32.69 in the technical element score and 31.63 in the program components.
The 23-year-old skater, who skated to "In This Shirt" by The Irrepressibles, opened his program a triple lutz-triple toe loop combination, followed by a double axel, and finally a triple flip.
American skater Vincent Zhou topped the short with 97.35, while France's Adam Siao Him Fa landed second with 89.23. Australia's Brendan Kerry scored 85.89 for the third spot.
Mark Kondraktiuk of Russia, Vladimir Lintvintsez of Azerbaijan, Siyheong Lee of Korea, and Roman Sadovsky of Canada complete the top seven at the end of the round.
The men's free skate will be on Friday at 8:15 pm (Manila time).
Seven slots for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics are at stake in the competition.
The Philippines' female representative, Sofia Frank, will compete in the women's short program on Thursday evening.
