Team Secret books Valorant Champions spot
The Philippines' Team Secret has booked a spot in the Valorant Champions to be held in December.
Team Secret, which is composed of the players from Bren Esports Jessie "JessieVash" Cristy Cuyco, Riley "witz" Go, Jayvee "DubsteP" Paguirigan, Jim "BORKUM" Timbreza, and Kevin "Dispenser" Te, qualified after Paper Rex had an early exit in the VCT Masters in Berlin.
The two teams both have 225 circuit points at the end of VCT 2021, but Team Secret got the slot as their players defeated Paper Rex in the Southeast Asian stage of the tournament while carrying the Bren banner.
The former Bren players maintained their circuit points when they moved to Team Secret.

"We have locked our spot for the Valorant Champions. It's an honor for us to represent the Philippines and SEA on a global stage and we hope to make you all proud. See you in December," Team Secret said.
Aside from Team Secret, X10 Esports of Thailand will also represent Southeast Asia in the biggest stage of Valorant.
A total of 16 teams will compete for the title in Valorant Champions.
Bren Esports, the former team of the Filipino players, was forced to miss the Valorant Masters Tour in Berlin due to travel restrictions.
