Yuka Saso fires 74 in third round, drops to 15th place in Scottish Open

Yuka Saso has dropped out of the Top 10 in the Trust Golf Women’s Scottish Open after hitting a 2-over par 74 in the third round at Dumbarnie Links, Scotland on Sunday (Manila time).

The Filipino-Japanese golfer is now in joint 15th place where she is tied with nine other participants in the 72-hole LPGA event.

It was a sizzling start for Saso following an impressive debut at the Tokyo Olympics.

The 20-year-old ace carded 5-under 67 in the first round to finish in second place where she was tied with Netherlands’ Anne van Dam and Thailand’s Jasmine Suwwanapura.

She, however, slipped to joint fifth spot after an even-par outing for a total of 213, or 3-under par, through three rounds.

Currently at joint first place are Ariya Jutanugarn of Thailand, Charley Hull of England, and Ryann O'Toole of the United States.

Saso recently soared to no. 8 in the world ranking and is eyeing to duplicate her success when she captured the 2021 US Women's Open title.
