Yuka Saso rises with 4-under 67, Pagdanganan fires 71 in 3rd round of Olympic golf
Philippine golf bets Yuka Saso and Bianca Pagdanganan wrapped up Day 3 of the women's individual stroke play event in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in close proximity in the standings with one round left to play.
Saso climbed up 14 places after shooting a 4-under 67 in the third round. It was an impressive performance for her, with five birdies in the round and only one bogey.
After a 74 in the first round, Saso has made up a lot of ground after finishing with a 68 and now, 67 in the last two.
She now sits in a five-way tie for 20th place at 4-under overall.
Not far behind is Pagdanganan, who shot a 71 in the third round to remain at 2-under overall, tied for 29th.
She had an uneven performance in the latest round, scoring five birdies, but double bogeyed on the 11th and 14th holes, and bogeyed on the 15th.
She had a 69 on Day 1 but only managed a 71 in each of the last two rounds.
The USA's Nelly Korda (-15) leads the field after three rounds while India's Aditi Ashok (-12) is in solo second place. Four competitors - from Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, and Japan - are tied for third place at 10-under.
