Team Lakay's Jeremy Pacatiw wins ONE Championship debut over Chen Rui

Filipino MMA fighter Jeremy Pacatiw of Baguio City’s Team Lakay scored a clear-cut unanimous decision win in his ONE Championship debut over Chen Rui on the undercard of ONE: Battleground this Friday evening at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Pacatiw gave Chen a taste of his power in the opening minute of the fight by landing a hard right hand on top. After a few exchanges, the Filipino went for a takedown and got the Chinese's back. He opened up his foe with punches to the side of the head but was unable to get the submission.

Pacatiw mixed it up some more the following round scoring another takedown to widen his lead on the scorecards. Chen fought with urgency in round three but was mainly kept at bay with Pacatiw's clinical striking and better cage generalship.

All three judges saw the fight for Pacatiw after three five-minute rounds, improving his record to 11-4 while the Chinese dropped to 9-3.
