After 'epic' Olympic debut, Margielyn Didal wishes for more skateparks in the Philippines
Olympian Margielyn Didal is back home after a memorable stint in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Didal on Thursday took to social media as she thanked everyone who supported her journey.
"My first Olympics was epic! God, thank you for this blessing," the skateboarder said in an Instagram post.
But she did have one wish after her experience in Tokyo: more skateparks.
"[I] wish we can have good skatepark/s in [the] Philippines too so that I can share how fun skateboarding is," Didal wrote in the caption.
Didal on Monday finished seventh in the finals of the women's street skate event.
Despite falling short, she still gained a lot of attention with her positive energy during the competition.
