Margielyn Didal to Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz: 'Congrats champ'

Fellow Olympians support each other and Hidilyn Diaz and Margielyn Didal just proved it.

In a Facebook post on Monday, Didal congratulated Diaz for winning the country's first Olympic gold medal.

Diaz achieved the historic feat after dominating the women's weightlifting 55-kg event in Tokyo.

"Wala ng intro-intro at drama, congrats champ!" Didal wrote in the caption of her photo with Diaz.

Didal on Monday also advanced to the women's street skate finals. She finished the event in seventh place, but she won many hearts with her cheerful attitude.

Both Diaz and Didal are 2018 Asian Games and 2019 Southeast Asian Games gold medalists.
