Margielyn Didal posts photo with skateboarding legend Tony Hawk

Filipina skateboarder and Olympian Margielyn Didal had the chance to meet a legend in the sport in Tony Hawk in Tokyo, Japan.

Didal is gearing up for her event in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, but had the opportunity to take a picture with Hawk, which she posted on Facebook on Saturday with a funny caption.

Hawk, a pioneer in skateboarding and considered by many to be the face of modern skateboarding, is in Tokyo as as part of NBC's broadcast panel for the Olympics. He was also able to give the competition area a try.

 The women's skateboarding competition is scheduled to begin on Monday, July 26, with the women's street preliminaries.
