Kurt Barbosa falls to top-seeded Jang Jun in Round of 16 of Olympics' taekwondo tilt

Filipino jin Kurt Barbosa fell to South Korea's Jang Jun in the Round of 16 match of the men's 58 kg event of taekwondo in the Tokyo Olympics Saturday.

The match ended after a dominant performance by Jang Jun, the No. 1 seed of the competition, gave him a 20-point lead, 26-6.

Jang Jun will advance to the quarterfinals and will meet Spain's Adrian Vicente Yunta.

Barbosa could still have a chance to be relegated to the repechage and compete for a bronze medal if his opponent makes the finals.
