Execration sweeps way into MSC lower bracket finals, sets up rematch with EVOS

Execration needed only two games to sweep past RSG Malaysia, 2-0, and make their way into the lower bracket finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asian Cup (MSC) 2021 on Saturday.

The Philippine team will now have a chance to exact some measure of revenge after setting up a rematch with EVOS Legends of Indonesia, the same team that relegated them to the lower bracket of these MSC playoffs.

Already waiting in the MSC grand finals is another PH team, Blacklist International, the reigning MLBB Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 7 champions.

Execration dropped to the lower bracket after losing to EVOS Legends, 2-1, on Day 1 of the playoffs. But they’ve fought their way back into contention after notching a pair of wins on Day 2, first against Impunity KH, 2-1, and this one against RSG MY, which they dominated in impressive fashion.

EVOS, meanwhile, found themselves in the lower bracket finals after being swept, 3-0, by Blacklist in the upper bracket finals earlier today.

The two teams will face off on Sunday at 1:00 pm with the winner moving on to face Blacklist in the grand finals at 6:00 pm of the same day.

If Execration wins, they could make it an All-Filipino grand finals against Blacklist. That match would also be a rematch of the MPL Philippines Season 7 finals, which was played around two weeks ago.

Blacklist won that one in a close contest, 4-3, to emerge as champions.
