Shinya Aoki ends rivalry with Eduard Folayang with first-round submission

Former ONE lightweight world champion Shinya Aoki came out on top in his rubber match with Eduard Folayang of Team Lakay on the undercard of ONE on TNT IV this Thursday morning in Singapore.

Aoki got the fight to the mat where he wanted two minutes into the opening round. He was able to transition to full mount, unleashed elbows then went for an armbar that forced a tap from his fellow ONE lightweight champ at the 4:20 mark of round one.

The defeat was Folayang’s third in a row and fifth in his last six fights, dropping his record to 22-11 while Aoki won his fourth consecutive win to improve his record to 47-9. —JM Siasat/JMB, GMA News
