Thug Rose shocks Zhang Weili, Shevchenko makes easy work of Andrade at UFC 261

Rose Namajunas is a world champion again following a first-round shocker against Zhang Weili in the co-main event of UFC 261 this Sunday at Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Florida, USA.

All it took from Namajunas to become the UFC women’s flyweight world champion once more was a left high kick from the front leg to drop Zhang. She followed up with unanswered punches, prompting the referee to halt the contest at the 3:19 mark of round one.

The stunning victory improved Namajunas' record to 10-4 while Zhang fell to 21-2.

Reigning UFC women's flyweight world champion Valentina Shevchenko, meanwhile, retained her title after she defeated UFC women's flyweight world champion Jessica Andrade.

Shevchenko dominated in all areas of the fight against the challenger throughout the fight. Everything went her way before she went for a finish via ground and pound at the 3:19 mark of round two. — LA, GMA News
