Elreen Ando wins three medals in Asian Weightlifting Championships
Filipina weightlifter Elreen Ando bagged three medals in the Asian Weightlifting Championships on Tuesday in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
Ando placed second overall in the 64-kg event after lifting a total of 213 kg.

Chinese Taipei's Wen-Huei Chen claimed the gold with 228 kg. South Korea's Sojin Han settled for third with 211 kg.
Ando won another silver after lifting 119 kg in the clean and jerk, the second best lift behind Chen's clearance at 128 kg. The Flipina weightlifter copped the bronze with her 94 kg lift during the snatch round.
The Philippines has a total of six medals in the said tournament, three of which are silver medals from Mary Flor Diaz.
Olympian Hidilyn Diaz fell short in her bid for a medal in the tournament, but her participation officially qualified her for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. —Justin Kenneth Carandang/JMB, GMA News
