Jake Paul drops Ben Askren face first, wins via TKO

Youtube sensation Jake Paul made easy work out of former Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight world champion Ben Askren following a first-round stoppage this Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, USA.

Paul immediately took the center of the ring throwing jabs and punches to the body after the first bell. After seeing that Askren has nothing to offer, he unleashed a straight right hand that dropped Askren face first on the canvas barely two minutes into the fight.

Askren got up but was deemed unable to continue, ending the fight via technical knockout at the 1:59 mark of round one. It was Paul’s third straight win, improving his record to 3-0 with 3 knockouts while Askren becomes 0-1 as a pro boxer.

According to earlier reports, Askren’s is set to take home a $500,000 payday for his pro boxing debut, while Paul has a guaranteed purse of $690,000. — LA, GMA News
