There was a huge moment of scare when women’s bantamweight mixed martial artist Julija Stoliarenko fainted off the scale during the official weigh-ins of UFC Vegas 22.
The 27-year-old managed to make weight at 135.5 pounds only to fall off the scale afterward.
Her opponent, Julia Avila, also weighed in at 135.5 pounds but the fight was called off after Stoliarenko left the venue on a stretcher.

“Unfortunately, my fight has been canceled. My opponent fainted twice on the scales. I hope nothing but a speedy recovery for Julija Stoliarenko and prayers for her,” Avila wrote on Instagram.
“Maybe we can meet up at a future date. But I will not be performing tomorrow night. As always, thank you to #PandaNation for the support. I love you all. May all the Julia’s in the world be unified and be healthy.”
Stoliarenko later posted a video message on Instagram explaining what happened.
She said "the weight was dropping too fast" and she "made weight too early."
Stoliarenko apologized that the fight did not push through, but said she hoped there will be another chance to fight.
"I'm feeling great. My body feels great... I'm so ready for this fight. I'm healthy. I'm really healthy," she said.
