UFC fighter Angela Hill tests positive for COVID-19 on fight week
UFC strawweight fighter Angela Hill has been pulled out of her rematch with Tecia Torres after testing positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
They were scheduled to fight on the undercard of UFC 256 on Sunday, December 13 (Manila time) at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
"Tested positive for Covid and won't be fighting next week. Tried to stay as safe as possible during fight camp but with MMA training there's virtually no social distancing. Was looking forward to running it back, maybe in the near future," Hill wrote on Twitter.
"Was a little sick over the weekend but feeling back to normal now. Would be trying to fight under different circumstances but thankful for my health and some time to recover," she added.

Hill versus Torres 2 would have been Hill's fifth appearance in the cage this year. They first met inside the cage in 2015, where the latter emerged victorious via unanimous decision.
Holding a record of 12-9, Hill has gone 2-2 in her last four fights after losing her last two by split decision. —MGP, GMA News
