Paeng Nepomuceno extends Guinness record as world's winningest tenpin bowler with 133 titles
Even at 63 years old, Filipino bowling legend Rafael "Paeng" Nepomuceno is still rewriting the record books.
According to Chino Trinidad's report on "24 Oras," Nepomuceno received his fourth certificate from the Guinness World Records as the winningest tenpin bowler in the world.
He extended his own record to 133 titles after winning the 2019 PTBA Open Masters in Quezon City last year.
"As long as you have fun, you enjoy what you do, you can just go on and on and tuloy lang. Habang malakas pa tinutuloy ko lang talaga," Nepomuceno said.
"Wala naman talaga akong mga goals na talagang gustong i-achieve eh. Na-achieve ko na lahat. Although parang icing on the cake itong latest," he added.
A bowling Hall of Famer, Nepomuceno won the World Cup of Bowling four times in three different decades: 1976, 1980, 1992 and 1996.
The Guinness records also recognized him as the youngest world bowling champion after his victory at the 1976 World Cup.
"Gusto ko lang bigyan ng karangalan ang ating bayan, that's all I want. And of course all of these is with God's help," he said. —MGP, GMA News
