Anderson Silva uncertain of retirement after losing to Uriah Hall

Former UFC middleweight world champion Anderson Silva remains undecided if it is time to call it quits in mixed martial arts following his defeat to Uriah Hall.

Silva, 45, had won just one fight in his last nine fights and is now on a three-bout losing skid following a fourth-round technical knockout loss at the hands of Hall this Sunday at UFC Fight Night: Hall vs. Silva.

The event has been promoted as Silva’s last dance inside the cage, though it was not the way that the former champ sounded like during the post-fight interview.

“Sometimes it's very difficult for us to stop. But today is the final day and I'm so happy to be here and do my last show for my fans here in the UFC,” said Silva.

“I don't know. First I'll go back home and see with my team. Let's go see because it's tough to say if it's my last or not because this is my air. This is what I do for my entire life and with my heart. Let's go see.”

UFC president Dana White, meanwhile, fully believes that Silva’s time has come to hang it up.

“When the fight was over, he couldn’t even stand up to do his interview. He had to sit down and do an interview. I made a big mistake and I shouldn’t have let him fight this fight tonight,” he said.

“He’s a legend of this sport and he’s a legend of this company, and I did something I disagreed with. I knew I was right, tonight proved I was right, and Anderson Silva should never fight again.” — BM, GMA News
