Alex Eala marches on to second round of French Open Juniors
Alex Eala marched on to the second round of the French Open Juniors after beating Natalia Szabanin of Hungary in her first match on Sunday.
The juniors world no. 4 took a straight sets victory, 6-4, 6-1, but she had to climb back from a 4-0 opening.
She recovered and packed a counterpunch, taking the next six games and the set. She never looked back from then, dropping only one game en route to closing out the match.

The 15-year-old will also see action in doubles, pairing up with her 2019 US Open partner Elvina Kalieva of the United States.
