Mark Striegl gets new date for UFC debut
Filipino-American mixed martial arts fighter Mark Striegl has a new date for his UFC debut.
The 2019 SEA Games gold medalist was originally slated to fight Timur Valiev at UFC on ESPN 15 last August 22 but he was pulled out of the fight after he tested positive for COVID-19.
Now fully recovered from the virus, Striegl has been rescheduled to make his debut inside the octagon against Said Nurmagomedov on the undercard of UFC Fight Night: Ortega vs. Korean Zombie on October 17 at Fight Island in Abu Dhabi.
"I'm back on October 17th thank you UFC and Ruby Sports & Entertainment for the quick turnaround. Let's go!" Striegl wrote on Facebook.
