Khabib Nurmagomedov sends chilling warning to Justin Gaethje ahead of their fight

Reigning UFC lightweight world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov likes Justin Gaethje, but that would not stop him from beating the UFC interim lightweight champion from pillar to post.

The much-anticipated unification title fight between the two is scheduled to take place in the main event of UFC 254 on October 24 in a yet to be determined venue.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan visited Gaethje while in training and posted a short footage on social media.

"I had the privilege of seeing the savage @justin_gaethje and the master Trevor Whitman of @onxlabs put in work," Rogan wrote on Instagram.

To everybody's surprise, one of the first to comment on the post was Nurmagomedov, who expressed both his respect and desire to beat the interim champ.

"Justin is a very nice guy and good opponent for me, but when octagon close he has to be ready not only boxing match, I'm not Dustin or Tony," Nurmagomedov said.

"I will take him to the deepest ocean and drown him," he added.

Nurmagomedov and Gaethje have a combined professional MMA record of 50-2. Both fighters are managed by Ali Abdelaziz. —MGP, GMA News
