Rodolfo Reyes Jr. bags first PHL gold in taekwondo

Rodolfo Reyes Jr. gave the Philippines its first gold medal in taekwondo at the Southeast Asian Games on Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

Reyes won the men's individual poomsae with a score of 8.349, besting Thailand's Pattarapong Sengmueang who scored 8.199 for the silver. Myanmar's Sun Shine and Augustine Rudy Anak Grocer claimed the bronze medals with a score 7.849.
