Jylyn Nicanor delivers 1st fencing gold for PHL

Jylyn Nicanor delivered the Philippines' first gold medal in fencing after her victory in  at the Southeast Asian Games on Thursday at the World Trade Center, Pasay City.

Nicanor beat Indonesia's Diah Permatasari, 15-14, to emerge on top of the the women's individual sabre.

Meanwhile, Noelito Jose Jr. notched the bronze medal in men's individual epee after losing to Vietnam's Tien Nhat Nguyen in the semifinal.
