Hidilyn in tears as teammate Ando loses sure gold over confusion
Filipina athlete Elreen Ann Ando was a favorite to win the gold in the women's 64 kg weightlifting event of the 30th Southeast Asian Games on Tuesday.
However, her final clean and jerk attempt was declared a "no lift" as the time ran out in her turn, with Ando settling for silver.

In a series of tweets, GMA News reporter Mav Gonzales explained how Ando was not able to complete her final attempt.
Ando ran out of time due to confusion in the order of performance. Vietnam was supposed to go first and took one minute in the supposedly two-minute rest, but they changed order with the Philippines.

The Philippine team thought they would still have two minutes of rest, but apparently Ando only had the remaining minute of what is left from Vietnam. After this, the buzzer rang, declaring her attempt a "no lift."
Weightlifting star Hidilyn Diaz, who won a gold medal on Monday, became emotional after the turn of events. She had to be comforted comforted by some of her companions who also watched the game.
