Carlos Yulo strikes gold anew in SEA Games floor exercise
Carlos Yulo delivered another gold medal for the Philippines after starring in the floor exercise event of the men's artistic gymnastics in the 30th Southeast Asian Games at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum Tuesday.
Yulo, who won a gold medal at the all-around category on Sunday, overwhelmed his opponents in the floor exercise to garner 14.70 points for the gold.

Thailand's Tikumporn Surintornta placed second after a 13.833 output, while Zul Bahrin Mat Asri of Thailand settled for bronze after finishing 13.767 points.

The floor exercise is the same routine where the 19-year-old gymnast won gold in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championship in Germany last October.
In his second competition for the day, Yulo delivered a flawless performance in the pommel horse event, where he earned 13.233 points.

However, Malaysia's Fu Jie Tan's solid performance scored slightly higher at 13.967, eclipsing Yulo's score. With this, Yulo settled for silver, besting Vietnam's Phuong Thanh Dinh who bagged the bronze.
In the still rings event, Yulo settled for silver anew after falling short against Vietnam's Dang Nam.

Yulo impressed the crowd with his routine in the Still Rings Final which earned him a score of 13.733. Vietnam's Dang scored 13.867, while bronze medalist Arifin Dwi of Indonesia tied his score with Yulo.
Yulo entered the biennial meet a crowd favorite after his stellar performance in the world championships that booked him a ticket in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
