65-year-old shooter Celedonio Tayao wins SEA Games silver


Filipino shooter Celedonio Tayao bagged his first medal in the Southeast Asian Games after getting silver in the Mixed Benchrest Air Rifle competition Tuesday at the Marine Corps Training Center in Taguig.

The 65-year-old Tayao finished between two Indonesians, with Tirano Baja clinching the gold after scoring 734-28x. The Filipino shooter scored 734-23x, besting third placer Wahyu Putra who made 727-25x.

The other Filipino in the competition, Miguel Lopez, placed fourth.
