IN PHOTOS: Agatha Wong moved to tears after winning wushu gold

Agatha Wong successfully defended her gold medal in the taolu taijiquan event of the Southeast Asian Games wushu competition on Sunday.

At the podium, Wong was visibly moved to tears following her medal win in the presence of her family and her countrymen.

“There was no holiday for us (in our training) so we are very fatigued right now. My body is aching. I was relieved after I finished my first event. I just did my best and I hope that’s enough for Team Philippines,” she said.

Wong also won the gold medal at the same event in the 2017 edition of the Games. She also won the bronze in the 2018 Asian Games.
