All systems go for SEA Games aquatics at New Clark City
The Aquatic Center in New Clark City (NCC) is ready to accommodate athletes and guests for the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, according to a Tuesday report on “Balitanghali.”
The goalposts for the water polo event have been set up and the center has already been used by foreign athletes for training.
“Sa mga ibang bansa, nandito na rin ‘yung mga lalahok sa water polo kasi tomorrow na sila maglalaro. Maaga rin sila nag-check in. As for the other events, in the next few days pa lang sila dadating,” said SEA Games 2019 Deputy Chef de Mission Stephen Fernandez.
Security has also been heightened inside NCC as many athletes have already checked in to the Athlete’s Village.
Fernandez said the NCC is ready to host the SEA Games.
“So far dito po sa NCC, okay na. May mga shuttle service, may mga bus. Then may mga golf carts na puwede gamitin ng bawat delegation pagpunta sa mga venues at saka sa ibang facilities dito sa loob ng NCC,” he said.
