Who is Mariz Tima? ID confusion adds to SEA Games woes
Even the media accreditation for the 30th Southeast Asian Games is hitting some snags.
On Monday, GMA News reporter Raffy Tima showed an ID he received for a certain "Mariz Tima," but featuring his photograph.
Raffy is married to fellow reporter Mariz Umali.

He seemed to take it in stride: "Hello Phisgoc, kaninong ID po ito? Sa akin o kay Mariz Umali? Asking for a friend ???? P.S. Sana po papasukin niyo pa rin kami para mag-cover. ???? ?#SEAGames2019"

While the Games will formally open on Saturday, some events including the football competition at the Rizal Memorial Football Stadium, have already begun.
Media personnel covering the opening matchup between Malaysia and Myanmar were led into a press room that was unfinished.

The press conference between the two teams, which battled to a 1-all draw, was eventually canceled.
This left some members of the international press frustrated.

The events have been met with complaints from some athletes over logistical problems, ranging from food to transportation to accommodation. PHISGOC, which organizes the games, has apologized for the issues. —JST, GMA News
