Terence Crawford makes Amir Khan quit in six
Reigning WBO world welterweight champion Terence Crawford successfully defended his title following a sixth-round technical knockout victory over Amir Khan, Saturday night (Sunday PHL time) at Madison Square Garden in New York, USA.
It was a dominant start from Crawford as he quickly found his range and managed to drop Khan with a counter right hand followed by a left hook in the opening round. Khan was able to recover, but never showed signs of possibly winning the fight.
An unintentional low blow from Crawford occurred as he pressed the action. Khan was given time to recover, but opted to wave the white flag instead making him lose by way of technical knockout at the 0:47 mark of round six.
The TKO win improved Crawford's record to 35-0 with 26 knockouts while Khan fell to 33-5 with 20 knockouts. — LA, GMA News
