Carlos Yulo bags PHL's first medal in Artistic Gymnastics World Championship
On Friday night (Manila time), young Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo notched the bronze medal in the Men's floor exercise event finals in the Artistic Gymnastics World Championship held in Doha, Qatar.
The bronze medal is the Philippines' first-ever medal in the World Championships.
The 18-year old gymnast listed a score of 14.600 behind gold medalist Artur Dalaloyan of Russia (14.900) and runner-up Shirai Kenzo of Japan (14.866).

With Yulo's podium finish, the Philippines now ranks 10th in the world championship's medal standings.
