Junna Tsukii adds another bronze for PHL

Filipina karateka Junna Tsukii won over Thailand's Raksachart Paweena, 4-1, in the karate women's 50 kg event, to secure a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Games in Indonesia.

With the win, Tsukii added the twelfth bronze to the Philippines' medal haul in the Asiad. Japan's Miyahara Miho also settled for bronze in the said event.

Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei's Gu Shiaushuang bagged the gold while Uzbekistan's Babaeva Bakhriniso won silver.

The Philippines now ranks 16th overall in the Asiad tally, with three gold medals and 12 bronze medals. — LA, GMA News
