Michael Martinez bags silver medal at 2017 SEA Games

Filipino Olympian Michael Christian Martinez on Sunday bagged a silver medal in men's figure skating at the 2017 Southeast Asian Games in Malaysia.

In a post on his official Instagram account, Martinez announced he finished in second place during the SEA Games.

"Thank you everyone for all the love and support!" he said.

The gold was won by Malaysia's Julian Yee Zhi-Jie, while teammate Chew Kai Xiang took bronze.

On the women's side, Filipina Alisson Krystle Perticheto took the bronze, coming in third to Singaporeans Yu Shuran and Chloe Ing Xuanling.

According to the latest available data from the SEA Games, the Philippines currently has a total of 105 medals so far: 22 gold, 28 silver, and 55 bronze. — Jon Viktor D. Cabuenas/BM, GMA News
