PHILIPPINE WRESTLING REVOLUTION

The YOLO Twins revel in being the first PWR tag champs

You only get one chance to become the first champion of a sport, and during the Philippine Wrestling Revolution's (PWR's) annual show Wrevolution X last April, The YOLO Twins did just that - besting two other teams to become the first PWR Tag Team Champions.

"The YOLO Twins are the first PWR tag team champions because we work hard," YOLO Twin Logan Ollores told GMA News Online. "Everybody works hard, but no one works harder than The YOLO Twins."

"We feel like it’s a privilege, especially for the company to have us present their tag team division in such an awesome way, y’know?" chimed other Twin Yohann.

Becoming the best tag team in PWR had always been the goal of the YOLOs, who debuted in April of last year.

And now, after the year-long fight to have the PWR recognize their significance to the roster, Logan and Yohann believe that the belts around their waists gives them the opportunity to correct some misconceptions about tag-team wrestling.

"We personally think that some people do tag-team wrestling in order to push their singles careers," declared Logan. "But we dislike people like that. We personally think that tag team wrestling is even greater than singles wrestling at times, you know?"

"We’re here to show them that, 'Hey! Tag-team wrestling is awesome!' Tag team wrestling is a great form of wrestling," Yohann affirmed.

Alliance

Their belts, however, are not the only things they picked up from Wrevolution X. The assistance the provided Ken Warren during his match with Bombay Suarez solidified the alliance that seemed to form in Mainit last March.

"Everyone here’s so competitive about getting to the top. But in this business, it’s great to have friends. And why not (be) with somebody just as cool as us, y’know?" Yohann explained.

Both siblings also insisted that teaming up with the Social Media Sinister was their idea, and unlike other factions in the PWR, they are adamant that all three of them were equals in their alliance.

"Dudeparetsong, why would we be lackeys if it was our idea?  We wouldn’t be lackeys. Trust us, we’re The YOLO Twins. We know when we’re not getting the right treatment or when we’re getting what we deserve," Logan pointed out.

While the Twins agree that the team of Ralph Imabayashi and Rederick Mahaba would be stiff competition, The YOLO Twins and Warren's mutual dislike of the current PHX Champion may put this dream match on the backburner.

"Chino Guinto has a lot of balls to talk to us like that. Doesn’t he know who our dad is?" Logan scoffed as he remembered Guinto's recent attacks against them on social media.

The Ollores are ready to fight not only Guinto, but The Network, James "Idol" Martinez, and Alexander Belmonte III, in a six-man tag match with Warren.

"I know like Idol is like, friends with our dad, business partners or whatever? But I guess Idol’s gonna have to face the music with us," Yohann said. "And ABIII! I always wanted to punch that guy in the face."

"Who doesn't want to punch that guy in the face?" Logan concurred.

The YOLO twins are scheduled to debut their web series, the R&C Show, on PWR: Resbak on May 28.

In the same card, the teams they defeated to win the belt — Fighters 4 Hire and Deadly Sinns — will wage All Out War following a backstage brawl at Wrevolution X.

No matter who wins that blood feud, the victor can be sure that The YOLO Twins are watching, phones in one hand and expensive drinks in the other. — DVM, GMA News
