Team Lakay's Honorio Banario wins by devastating KO

Former ONE featherweight champion Honorio Banario of Baguio City's Team Lakay proved he still has devastating power even after moving up in weight following a knockout victory over Jaroslav Jartim on the undercard of 'ONE: Kings of Destiny' Friday night at Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Banario and Jartim both traded barbs on their feet and on the ground in the first round. After seemingly gauging each other in round two, Banario landed a monstrous left hook to the jaw that dropped Jartim senseless on the canvas.

Seeing a downed and unconscious foe, Banario didn't go for a follow up on the obviously finished Jartim. The stoppage time was at the 1:31 mark of Round two.

The win improved Banario's record to 12-6 while Jartim fell to 8-6-1. — BAP, GMA News
