Philippine women's football team celebrates FIFA Women's World Cup qualification

The victorious screams of the Philippine national women's football team from Pune, India, 5,025 kilometers away from Manila, surely made its way to the hearts of the Filipinos as the country celebrated its first qualification for the FIFA Women's World Cup.

The Philippine Football Federation, in a tweet early Monday morning, showed the ladies' celebration after the win. "World Cup, World Cup, World Cup!" the players yelled.

The Philippines late Sunday defeated Chinese Taipei on penalties, 4-3, to book a slot in the biggest football stage. With the win, the Philippines will also advance to the semis of the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup.
