Filipinos celebrate as PH women's football team books first FIFA Women's World Cup appearance
Athletes and personalities are one in celebrating the Philippines' first-ever qualification to the FIFA Women's World Cup.
On Sunday, the Philippine national women's football team defeated Chinese Taipei on penalties, 4-3, in the 2022 AFC Women's Asian Cup quarterfinals to book a slot in football's biggest stage.
Their male counterparts in the Philippine Azkals took to Twitter their congratulatory messages.

With the victory, the Philippines for the first time will officially send a team to any edition of the FIFA World Cup.
