Azkals bid semis hopes goodbye after bowing to Thailand in Suzuki Cup

The Philippine Azkals bid goodbye to their semifinals hopes after falling to powerhouse Thailand, 2-1, in the 2020 AFF Suzuki Cup on Tuesday in Singapore.

The Azkals were scoreless at the half while Teerasil Dangda steered the Thais to a 1-0 cushion at the break.

Patrick Reichelt then brought the Philippines to the scoring board with an equalizer in the 57th minute before Dangda converted the clincher at the 78th minute mark, 2-1.

The Thais are currently at 3-0-0 win-draw-loss card while host Singapore has a 2-0-0. The Philippines, meanwhile, dropped to 1-0-2.

The Azkals will still face Myanmar on Saturday at 8:30 p.m.
