Azkals Development Team books Finals slot in 2021 Copa Paulino Alcantara

It needed 30 more minutes of action but the Azkals Development Team (ADT) got the job done and booked a slot in the 2021 Copa Paulino Alcantara (CPA) Finals.

The ADT won in extra time against Stallion Laguna FC, 2-1, in the semifinals held on Tuesday in the Philippine Football Federation's training center in Carmona, Cavite.

After a goalless first half, Stallion Laguna FC's Abraham Placito scored the first goal of the match at the 53' mark.

ADT captain Jarvey Gayoso made the equalizer at the 66' mark. However, he was stretchered out before the end of regulation due to injury.

At the 116' mark, Yrick Gallantes put ADT in the lead, which eventually gave them the win.

ADT will face the winner of the Kaya FC-Iloilo and Dynamic Herb Cebu FC in the CPA Finals scheduled on Friday. The loser, meanwhile, will face Stallion Laguna for the third place play-off.
