Kaya FC ends penultimate ACL group match with another loss
Kaya FC-Iloilo still could not break into the win column of the AFC Champions League after enduring another loss on Thursday.
The Philippine representative fell prey to hometown bet BG Pathum United, 1-0, absorbing its fifth defeat in as many games in the group stage being held in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Filipinos looked like they could force a stalemate but a goal by Thai booter Sarach Yooyen at the 83rd minute added woes to the visiting nation.
The loss sank Kaya deeper in the Group F with a 0-0-5 win-draw-loss record while BG Pathum is at second spot with a 4-0-1 record.
This is also Kaya's second beating against the Thai club following a 4-1 loss last June 26.
The Filipinos will return to the field on Sunday where they will once again face powerhouse Viettel FC, who dealt them a 5-0 demolition last June 29.
