Asian Games medalists from the Philippines
As the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China closed on Sunday, the Philippines brought home 18 medals from this year's edition of the continental games.
The Philippines placed 17th overall in the medal tally with four gold medals, two silver medals, and 12 bronze medals from the Asiad.
Pole vault's EJ Obiena won the country's first gold after setting a new Asian Games record at 5.90 meters, while jiu-jitsu's Meggie Ochoa and Annie Ramirez followed suit as they reigned supreme in their respective events.
Gilas Pilipinas, meanwhile, made history as it topped Asiad basketball once again after 61 years.
Meanwhile, wushu's Arnel Mandal and boxing's Eumir Marcial claimed silver medals for the Philippines.
