Gov’t allows practices to resume for basketball, football amid community quarantine
The government has allowed practices and conditioning for basketball and football amid the community quarantine aimed at curbing the spread of COVID-19.
In a televised briefing on Friday, presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases granted the appeals of the Philippine Basketball Association and football associations.
Roque also said the IATF approved the guidelines on the conduct of health-enhancing physical activities and sports during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The guidelines were crafted by the Philippine Sports Commission, Games and Amusements Board and the Department of Health. — Virgil Lopez/RSJ, GMA News
