Pacquiao back in school to get business diploma
I'm not a boxer here, I'm just a student like the rest of you. This was how Filipino boxing champ Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao introduced himself to his new schoolmates on his first day as a business administration student at the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in his hometown General Santos City. QTV Balitanghali reported that the 28-year-old Pacquiao gained cheers from fellow students for attending the university orientation where he rendered a song number. "Hindi ako boksingero rito kundi isang estudyante ako. Huwag ninyo isipin na boksingero ako, dito estudyante ako, pareho tayong lahat," Pacquiao told his cheering schoolmates. Pacquiao, who scored a unanimous decision win over Mexican Marco Antonio in Las Vegas last October 7, seemed at home in school during the event. He later met with his professors who briefed him on the grading system and the school rules. The report said Pacquiao is due to take six to seven subjects this semester, and may take his first examinations as soon as one month from now. Pacquiao said he is determined to finish his studies. - GMANews.TV
