Tac Padilla to shoot for RP in 24th SEA Games
Here's one for Ripley's Believe It Or Not. National pistol champion Nathaniel "Tac" Padilla will wear the national colors to represent the Philippines for the 15th time in the 24th edition of the Southeast Asian Games in December this year. Padilla, according to Manila Bulletin's web edtion www.mb.com.ph on Thursday, had made it to the national shooting team that will be campaigning in the biennial event. Only 13 when he first carried the Philippine flag in his first SEA Games competition in 1977, Padilla is now the general manager of his family-owned company. Padilla will be with the skeet and trap shooting team composed of Paul Brian Rosario, Patricio Bernardo, Eric Ang, and Jethro Dionisio. The Thailand SEA Games could have been Padilla's 16th appearance in that competition, but the pistol event was cancelled in the 1991 Brunei Games. Padilla may yet get another gold medal in the upcoming SEA Games, considering that he has equalled the gold medal score of 564 twice in the monthly qualifying competition of the national shooting federation. - GMANews.TV
