It's confirmed: Ara Galang will miss the finals after suffering a knee injury in the knockout game between De La Salle University and National University.

The Lady Spikers' team captain twisted her knee after putting La Salle two points away from the finals, grimacing in pain after she landed awkwardly following a spike.

She was taken away on a stretcher by the team staff, and then rushed to the Makati Medical Center in an ambulance after DLSU won the game.

According to goarchers.com, she was diagnosed with a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), media collateral ligament (MCL), and a bruised bone.

With the injury, La Salle will be facing their archnemesis Ateneo de Manila University in the finals without the steady presence of their best scorer.

The volleyball community turned to twitter to express concern for Galang, starting the hashtag #PrayforAraGalang which trended worldwide.
