UAAP: DLSU star Galang on losing to Ateneo: 'Masakit sa puso, pero kailangan mag-move on'

The DLSU Lady Spikers stayed in their locker room for an extra 45 minutes after their loss to Ateneo, and upon exiting, coach Ramil De Jesus begged to decline interviews. GMA News Online caught up with team captain Ara Galang, though, and La Salle's super scorer divulged the team's game plan moving forward.

"Hindi naman nagtatapos yung season ngayon e. Siguro new start. May panibagong start samin for stepladder. Siguro dun nalang kami babawi," said a very positive Galang. "Syempre unang-una naman magsa-start yung improvement namin sa training, mag pu-push pa kami, improve pa namin yung mga kailangan namin."

The roles are now reversed, as La Salle takes the place of Ateneo last year. But as the leader of a team waiting for redemption, Galang continues to see their current situation as a challenge more than a problem:

"Kailangan rin namin mapatunayan na kaya rin namin yung ginawa nila sa 'min last year."

La Salle awaits the survivor of the stepladder format that is still up for grabs among several teams. - JST/GMA News
