Despite not having star player Kiefer Ravena in their line-up, the Ateneo Blue Eagles are still expected to give their arch-rivals, the La Salle Green Archers, one big fight, Sunday at the MOA Arena, in the first meeting this season between the two squads.

Ravena has so far played just eight minutes in Season 76 of the UAAP, and he has already been ruled out of this game, as he continues to rest a high ankle sprain. In his place Wednesday, fifth year player Ryan Buenafe had one of the best games of his career, a monstrous 29-point, 15-rebound, three-assist outing that saw him turn the ball over just a single time. However, the big game was for naught, as ADMU still fell to the FEU Tamaraws, 79-75, in overtime.

After seasons of having an offense that runs like a well-oiled machine under coach Norman Black, this year has been quite the opposite. The Eagles are the worst shooting team, failing to crack a field goal percentage better than 30 percent, thanks in large part to them just making 31.6 percent of attempts inside the arc. They also norm a mere 10 assists per game, and have a whopping total of six fast break points after two outings.

La Salle on the other hand is rejuvenated, following an early line-up shuffle by new head coach Juno Sauler. Versus UP, the team opted to rest LA Revilla and give Thomas Torres some burn, while also starting Fil-Am forward and rebounding machine Jason Perkins. The moves worked, and a lean, mean (just eight players saw minutes) DLSU team drubbed the Fighting Maroons, 96-84.

The Green Archer front court will likely be a headache for the blue shirts, especially if Perkins is as active as he was versus UP. Perkins had 20 markers, plus 13 of his team's 51 rebounds Wednesday. Center Norbert Torres did him one better with 17 caroms, while Arnold Van Opstal hauled in six misses despite limited minutes. Should they press their height advantage, they could make life hellish for the smaller ADMU front line.

Game starts at 4pm.
