UAAP: La Salle crushes Ateneo in straight sets in women's volleyball

It was the first time that the UAAP volleyball competition was played at the MOA Arena. And a record number of 19,638 fans were in attendance to witness the event, as La Salle captured the number one spot and the twice-to-beat advantage heading into the Final Four.
Michelle Gumabao was the best player of the game with 14 points off nine attacks, three blocks, and two service aces. Mika Reyes added 10, while Ara Galang and team captain Abi Maraño chipped in nine and eight, respectively.
Alyssa Valdez was limited to 10 points to tie team captain Dzi Gervacio's output. Fille Cainglet only had six, while Gretchen Ho and Ella De Jesus had four each. - AMD, GMA News
